PILOT/ part of CHATPER 1: My Confessions
It’s an ancient story I can never get used to… one in which the princess dies in the hands of the prince. It’s one of those stories passed on for every generation to hear. As the fifth generation, and the fifth princess in the family, they say it’s an omen. I am the luckiest of all. I don’t have to take the throne for that is for the first born. There’s no need for me to marry for peace for that is for the 3rd oldest. As for the other two, they are forced to learn how to be perfect wives. I’m the youngest and therefore, I am the favorite of my father and his father and his father’s father. I am free do to as I bid.
Back to the tale that everyone seems to be afraid of… legend says that the first born of the opposing kingdom will make one of the daughters of our kingdom fall in love with him. The tale says that this happens every 100 years. That day happens to be the exact same day my older sister was born. She is the second youngest but expected to act older. But also on that same day, just a year later, I was also born. They say it’s a miracle that I wasn’t born on the same day. They say I am filmed with God’s blessing for I wasn’t cursed with a death but in truth I am the unluckiest of all.
